


Heidi Atter is a cinematography and photography instructor based in central Labrador. Heidi is a cinematographer, photographer, and journalist.
Heidi is also a former fencer and kayaker, and holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon-Do.














Heidi travelled before attending university at the University of Regina. She graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism. Heidi attended the Military Journalism Course at the Wainwright Military Base.
She has worked with CBC Saskatchewan, CTV Edmonton, InkOnline, CBC’s World Report, Now or Never, CBC Newfoundland and Labrador, CBC North, CBC's Qulliq, The World This Weekend and more.
Heidi has won multiple RTDNA awards and Digital Publishing Awards, and has been a finalist in other awards.







Heidi is just as comfortable sleeping on a cot during cold nights at the military base in Wainwright, Alberta as she is covering emotional human interest stories of love and loss in remote Labrador.



Heidi hopes to continue telling important human interest stories around Canada and internationally throughout her career.
